Beachy Mini Book Tutorial

Beachy Mini Book Tutorial

Hello Facebook and Blog friends…Annette here with the final tutorial of the day.  I am sharing a little mini album using the new clear release Beach Kids Tia & Tobie.  I am so glad that you have decided to join me…I hope that you enjoy.

I decided to made a little album/journal.  Since summer is here and we all like to take little trips..why not have a little journal to capture the memories.

First you will want to cut your cardboard to size for the front and back cover.  You will also want to cut your  pages that will go inside.  I used kraft paper from JoAnn’s for the inside.  I cut mine 4×4.

Now that I have my front, back and insides I have to chose my patterned paper that I would like to use.  I have gone with a little Sassafras and Echo Park.  I think these will go perfect with the beach theme.

I usually like to stamp all my images before coloring.

I always color the skin first.  My favorite combo is E00, E000, E0000 R20.

I have chosen my colors and now they are coming to life.  I love this part.

Next I like to cut out my images.

I have put my images aside and now ready to put my album together.  First I will glue my designer paper to the front and back.

I am using the Zutter Bind-it-All to  bind my album.

I decided to round one of the edges.  I am really loving how this is coming out.  From here I play with my images and see how I would like to place them.  I do not add my adhesive until I am happy with the layout of the images.

I finished it off with some May Arts burlap string and a little K&Company adhesive gem.

Well what do you think…I hope that I have inspired you to great crafty and share you lovely creations with us on Facebook and/or Flickr. We would love to see them.

Thanks for joining me today.
