Pattern Card How to Tutorial by Vera

Pattern Card How to Tutorial by Vera

Hi everyone. Vera’s here from Ling’s Design Studio. Welcome to Some Odd Girl fun Facebook event. We are thrilled to have you joining us.

For my card, I’ve decided to use Gwen in Bloom set. Gwen is one of my favorite from Some Odd Girl. Hm…. okay I have several favorites. It’s hard to choose, you know. 🙂

I first colored Gwen with Copic markers then paper pieced her dress part. Don’t you just love how flirty her yellow polka dot dress? I simply picked a gorgeous patterned paper, stamp the image and cut out the dress part only.

I fussy cut my stamped image a lot. Most important part is having a great scissor of course. I used my trustworthy pointy tip Fiskars and to get the smooth cut, instead of moving the scissor, I moved the image around. And, I like leaving a little bit of white space to make the image stand out (especially when you used patterned paper for background).

To complete the rest of this card, it’s pretty easy. Cut a panel from a patterned paper and from solid cardstock and adhere them to card. Cut a strip of patterned paper and add to card. Stamp sentiment and add the gorgeous girl with her uber cute bunny. Have I mentioned that I love bunny? Well, I love animal in general. 🙂

Hope you enjoy your visit. Please come back here at 2pm EST for another fun tutorial. Thank you for visiting us and for joining us on our Facebook Fun Event. Enjoy your Saturday!!
