A SOGgy Spotlight for your viewing pleasure – HAPPY FRIDAY!

A SOGgy Spotlight for your viewing pleasure – HAPPY FRIDAY!

Helloooooo, Odd Friends, and happy end of the summer!  Leah the Orange here, and yes, I know it’s not REALLY the end of the summer until September 21st rolls around, but most of us are bidding a fond farewell to the season with Labor Day weekend upon us.  Whatcha doin’ this weekend?  Did you enjoy your summer?  Does September hold any great possibilities for you?

Well September’s going to be a busy month around here, so let’s get right to our Friday Spotlight, so we can jump into a new challenge tomorrow

Okay, so I did some scouring, and I found LOADS of your gorgeous projects around the web, and it was tough to settle on just ONE for today’s spotlight…  Next week, I can safely say that there will be a little more substance to the Friday Spotlight post, because I’m holding onto a couple of doozies and will share them with you.

TODAY, however, I am shocked to find that this is the very FIRST Some Odd Girl creation from this lovely crafter!  She got everything right, from the beautiful soft colors she used, to the doily “mat”, that fabulous trim and the subtle brad accents, anchoring the layers perfectly and adding just a touch of bling.  The flower and punched leaves?  Couldn’t have complimented the image and papers any better!  Congratulations to our Friday Spotlight crafter, Ali Watson, for this gorgeous card featuring Flower Girl Mae!  Check it out, folks…

Beautiful!  Ali, are you SURE you’ve never colored up a Some Odd Girl image before this?  I find that very hard to believe.  And I sincerely hope you’ll be coloring up MORE of them, because you made our Mae look like a springtime princess!  Thanks so much for sharing your project, and congrats on a well-deserved spotlight! We hope we’ll be seeing more of you around.  🙂

And that, as they say, is THAT!  It’s the weekend, and I hope you’ll all find some time to get your craft on, enjoy a little Odd love, and we shall see you TOMORROW!  🙂  Stay Odd, friends!
