A FAN-tastic spotlight and an IMPROMPTU CONTEST!

A FAN-tastic spotlight and an IMPROMPTU CONTEST!

Morning, Odd friends!  Leah the Orange, greeting the weekend with wide open arms, and hoping you’ve all had a great week!

Have you enjoyed our holiday release?  What’s your fave clear stamp released this week?  I am partial to Angel Gwen, personally, because I love it when Kristy designs a new character that’s looking back over her shoulder.  She rocked it with Gwen in Bloom, and also with Under The Sea Mae, and I think she rocked it yet again with Angel Gwen!  Something about that sassy little pose that just grabs me!  🙂

At any rate, it’s Friday, and I am absolutely THRILLED to bring you this fantastic spotlight.  I didn’t have to look far this time, because my jaw nearly dropped when I clicked on our CURRENT CHALLENGE…  This project leapt right off the screen at me, and I’m sure you’ll agree that Maureen‘s GORGEOUS sepia/monochrome coloring is out of this world.  Have you ever seen Fan look so beautiful?!  Check it out!

Maureen incorporated all three stamps from this Nouveau Girls set into her card, and I think the pops of blue are absolutely PERFECT to create just the right amount of interest.  This is just STUNNING, Maureen!  Thank you for rocking our stamps, and for sharing your amazing project with us – your spotlight is a wonderful start to the weekend in Oddland!  😀

I’d love to see more of this kind of style…  Anyone else got some monochromatic images to show off?  How about a random little contest?  Post your cards using this style (they don’t have to be colored all in black and white or sepia – hint, hint) in our Facebook group all this month, and I’ll select a random winner who will get a lovely little surprise in their mailbox!  🙂  You’ve got until Sunday, September 30th at midnight EST to post over there, and I’ll announce the winner(s) with our September challenge winner on Monday, October 1st.  GO!  🙂

  1. Sooo pretty, I tried my 1st monochrome card.
