Hello SOG fans!! Rachel here today, and I am sharing a fun folding technique that’s a little out-of-the norm!
I definitely abuse the good ol’ A2 sized card. It’s exactly half of an 8 1/2 x 11, so you’re getting two for the price of one when you cut up your paper! (yes, I am lazy.) But there is another fold out there that I really enjoy doing, and I first saw it over at Splitcoast Stampers. (it’s all over Pinterest now too for you fellow pin addicts!)
This is the Criss Cross card!
I used the Hey Kaylee clear set for this!!
Here’s how I started-
I cut two pieces of 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, because I wanted this to be a vertical type card, as opposed to horizontal. Next you score each piece at 4 1/4″ like so-
Next I have cut patterned paper to fit on the parts of my card/envelope that will be showing.
I have also cut card stock to the size I wanted, so that it will easily slide in and out of the envelope. I have added a brad, and some ribbon to give the receiver something to pull the insert out with.
Now for the super-fun part!! Let’s add some Kaylee to this!!
And let’s add some pizzazz to the inside!
Now this was a super condensed version of how to put this card together. Please go here to see all of the exact measurements, and where I got my inspiration from!
