We are the ODD GIRLS!

We are the ODD GIRLS!

Hello again, Odd friends!  I’m back for the last time today to announce the rest of the Odd Girls who will be on board for the next six months to inspire you, fill your head with ideas, and to WOW you with their creations using Some Odd girl products.  Notice I said products, and not stamps?  Yeah, you’ll see more of that.  😉  But first, ONWARD!

Let’s meet the rest of the team, shall we?

These next two gals will be seen running around taking care of things at Some Odd World, our Ning community.  You might see them here, too, from time to time, but they’ve got a lot on their plate as our Ning Coordinators!  Welcome….

I live in Altoona, Pennsylvania.  I work as a Special Education teacher for 12th grade.  I am married to my wonderful husband George and I have 5 kids (4 boys and 1 girl).  I started card making over a year ago.

and her partner in crime in heading things up at the Ning, Rene!

Hello, my name is Rene’ Sharp and I live in a small town Dundee in Northern KZN, South Africa. I have been happily married to my hubby Ray for 15 years now and we have 3 sons, Caide – 14, Bryce – 11 and Jamie – 6. I absolutely adore being a Mom and Wife and love the life we live in our little town.

My love for papercrafting began in 2005 when I went to a small scrapbooking demonstration at a local coffee shop, I was hooked! I began making cards about a year later, starting to color with pencil crayons and Grumtine for blending!! When I discovered Copics it was like I found a little piece of crafty heaven!! I started my blog to showcase my cards, and to interact with other South African bloggers. There weren’t too many at the time, so I became “friends” with a lot of ladies in the US and in other parts of the world.

I have “known” Kristy for a number of years, and have been a huge fan of her Some Odd Girl Stamps since then, they are by far my favorite images to color, they are just the most fun!!!

I am SO pleased to have joined this awesome SOG team and community, and I look forward to creating wonderful crafty friendships with you all! I hope to inspire you, so that you become as passionate about SOG stamps as I am!

I would love for you to drop by my blog http://www.stampinginsunnysa.blogspot.com and say “hi”.

And a big ol’ welcome (back) to our brand new Social Media Coordinator, Judy!

Hello everyone! My name is Judy Bagwell. I live in Alabama and I am a crafty stay at home mom. The hubs and I have two fun kiddos and two silly dogs.  I love Halloween and I am crazy about all things Disney.  I like to draw, sew, crochet, decorate cakes/cookies, scrapbook and make cards. When I am not doing mom stuff or crafting, I enjoy browsing around in antique shops and going to the movies.  I got my first Some Odd Girl clear stamps for Christmas in 2011 and soon after that I was hooked on the digital stamps too.  I’m not sure I could pick a favorite image because I truly love them all.  I am super excited to be an Odd Girl and honored to have the opportunity to work with this amazing team.

Then there’s me…  I’m Leah, the Design Team Coordinator and your bloggy hostess  😉
I don’t have a project to share today, ‘cuz I’ve been busy with all the behind-the-scenes stuff, but here’s me!

Hi there!  I’m Leah, I’m obsessed with orange, I don’t think anybody who knows me would say I’m normal, and I take pride in playing the chameleon.  I’m a proud Assistant Bank Manager who is mom to The Son, who is all grown up and does his own thing, and Fletcher B Cat, a spunky ginger boy.  I seem to find myself being magnetically pulled toward paper (it’s not even metal!  how does that work?!).  If you ever find yourself missing that perfect colour or pattern, come and visit me – I’ll hook you up!  I’m Canadian and it takes everything in my power to NOT add a “U” when I do the blog posts for Some Odd Girl.  I’m a grammar nazi, which is probably why Kristy likes keeping me around; if there’s a typo to be found, I’m your girl.  I’m so proud of Kristy and how far she’s come with Some Odd Girl – I’ve been here since day 1 and I’m sticking around for the long haul.  Love you, Holmes!  And to you Odd friends out there reading, it’s nice to make your virtual acquaintance!

And last, but certainly not least, the lady behind this whole thing…  our Artist and Owner of Some Odd Girl, the Odd Girl herself, KRISTY!

I’m Kristy, a 31 year old girl living in Fennville, Michigan. I have two seriously silly kiddos and a very understanding hubs who’ve I’ve been married to for 9 years now. Even though I’m a small town country girl now, I grew up in Kalamazoo, MI (yes, its a real place and yes, I’ve been asked that before lol). I moved out to the lakeshore to be with my hubs and haven’t regretted it since!

I’m the Owner/Artist/Designer of Some Odd Girl Stamps. I’ve been a crafty, artsy girl since forever and finding a career in a creative field has always been my number one dream.  I worked grocery retail for 11 years before following my dream and taking the plunge to make my biz, Some Odd Girl, my full time gig. I worked my grocery job and worked on Some Odd Girl (that was like a second full time job!) for almost a year. It became very apparent that to keep up with both (not to mention kids and family) was burning me out and something had to give. Not to mention I wanted to take Some Odd Girl to the next level and that meant more commitment so I left my grocery job in Nov 2010. Since then thing have gotten bigger and better!

I was lucky to have such a supportive family who has been behind me since the get go. My hubs does all the tech work for the site, effectively turning my vague thoughts and sketches into reality. My kiddos are constant inspiration just by being them (they were the inspiration behind Tia and Tobie).

I love a life where not only I can make others happy but support my family and keep them happy at the same time! I’m so thankful that thru all the unnamed bumps in the road this is where we are headed.
