Good morning, Oddies!
Alexis here with a aged metal gears video tutorial on making some realistic metal embellishments! I’m getting a little steampunk with the new Gears cut files and Steampunk Kaylee clear stamp and a boatload of mixed media. I hope you’re prepared to get a little messy with me today!
I used Ranger paint dabbers, Heidi Swapp Color Shine, Tim Holtz Distress Ink and Stains to create the aged metal texture of the gears.
*BONUS* This video is how I colored up Steampunk Kaylee, it is sped up and dubbed over with music to drown out my singing along to Disney tunes. You’re welcome. *Snickers*
Now here is the main event! This video shows you how I did the aged metal gears by distressing the Gears cut file and how I finished out my tag.
Well, that’s it for the videos from me today, gang! I hope you all enjoyed the fun, messy metal texturing and if you use this technique, I’d love to see your projects posted over at the Facebook Group and the Linky Party (Check out the right sidebar)! May is ending soon, but don’t fret, our June Linky Party is just around the corner! Some lucky winners will be announced soon!
And there is still time to participate in the Ruby Rock-it Blog Hop! We’re always full of fun happenings here at Some Odd Girl!
