Paola here with a quick and easy terribly cute project! I gave my daughter’s iPhone case a cute makeover. All you need is Mod Podge, gesso, stamps, inks and Dancin’ Mae from the Some Odd Shop and of course your choice of coloring medium. To create the charm all you need is some shrinky dink paper. Here we go!
Paint the front and sides of your case with gesso. This will allow the paper to hold on better to the case, as well as giving you the option to paint it.
Next, I traced the top of the iPhone case to make my front. The paper is music sheet paper and I stamped it with music notes. The colors I chose coordinate with Mae’s outfit.
I was in too much of hurry and the gesso was not dry , hence the fingerprints. LOL! Let your fingers dry. :) Once dry, brush Mod Podge on the case and then adhere your paper to the top of the case. Brush Mod Podge once again, generously.
While my case was drying, I took the sentiment from Dancin’ Mae clear stamp set and used Memento ink and stamped it on some shrinky dink paper. I just cut an oval around it and punched a small hole so that I would be able to run some blue Bamboo twine from the Odds & Ends shop through it. By doing this I’ve now created a little charm for the iPhone case.
Once your case is dry, cut your Dancin’ Mae out and Mod Podge her to the top of the phone case. Such a fun project! Hope you give it a try!
