Stephanie here with you to share a new and REALLY simple tutorial on how to include a stamp, digi stamp or clear stamp, on something else besides a card.
Many people use Some Odd Girl stamps on a card or a scrapbook page, but did you know that you can also make altered items with your stamps and photo, together? Here’s a quick tutorial how-to create Home Decor using Some Odd Girl stamps…
Supplies used :
Reading Mae (digi) colored image, fussy cut
6″x 4″ photo
3 pieces of cardstock, 2 cut to 6¼”x 4¼” and 6½”x 4½”
1 die-cut shape for your stamped image
3-D adhesive foam (I used bubble wrap!) and double-sided tape
Embellishments of your choice
Chalkboard plate or any other type of frame/object
First, adhere your stamped image to your die-cut (popped up!). Then add some dimension to the main panel of cardstock using foam tape (bubble wrap works great, too, as you can see!).
Add your photo on top of the foam tape/bubble wrap. A cute ribbon
can be added across your photo to add some texture to the layout.
Then, place your soon-to-be-altered object in front of you. Here, I chose to work with a chalkboard plate that can be hung on a wall, a doorknob, etc. A piece of wood works great, too, or a shadow box, a plate, or many other things!
Adhere your mounted photo to your item. Be sure to use something strong so it will hold to it!
Add some 3-D foam tape (or bubble wrap!) to your die-cut
stamped image and place it in the right corner of your item.
Now, add some embellishments (twine, sequins, etc.), sentiments if you like, and VOILÀ!
Doesn’t this look great hanging up?
Hope that was useful! OH and if you haven’t played yet with our monthly Linky Party, you’ve still got time. More details HERE
Fantastic idea!
This is fantabulous! Love, love, love. 🙂
