Tabbatha here today to show you some extra Some Odd Girl love. 😉 We are now full into June, which means I have a birthday deadline coming up soon. My sambo (boyfriend) has a birthday next week and the only thing I could get out of him that he wanted for his birthday is “Ollie”.
See, ever since I made some refrigerator magnets last year for Some Odd Girl , he has been obsessed with the little monkey! So today I thought I would do a little bit of Ollie Digi Stamp Inspiration a la “A blast from the past!”.
Starting off, I wanted to show you my first card that I made last year plus the magnets. 😀
See, isn’t the Ollie Glee digi stamp so adorable? He was the sambo’s favorite Ollie, and thus he became the star of my cards!
For the brand new version of Ollie Glee I chose a new color scheme – that way the (eventual) magnets will match my kitchen. 😉 I can fully disclose that I really intended on having the magnets all done to show you today, but then my “Ollie colors” as my sambo puts it ran dry. Guess the sambo will have to wait the couple weeks until my refills show up, until then the card, which is sitting happily on his desk, will have to do. 😀
One thing I tend to do with my cards is that after I’ve made a creation – or two – I don’t use the image again, and that is just a shame! I think that by my sambo only wanting his Ollie for his birthday really pushed me to create a new card with a current, up-to-date Tabbatha feel to it. 😉 Oh yeah, and how awesome does the “Smile” look?! It is from the brand new Yes, Smile Sentiment pack, which I colored using the technique that Kristy shared with us the other week.
My personal challenge to you is to go through your old Some Odd Girl cards and create a new card with that image. I would love to see how your style has changed. Share it with us in the Some Odd Girl Facebook Group and link it up in our June Linky (in the right sidebar)!
