Scrap Tastic Tag from Alexis!

Scrap Tastic Tag from Alexis!

Good morning, Oddies!  Alexis here with our Halloween Eve post and a cutely spooky and scrap tastic gift tag using one of o my favorite Digi Stamps Flapper Kaylee.  Her fun costume just seemed perfect for our Halloween Hop!  Have you been hopping along with us this week?

I love Halloween and the projects out this week are just AMAZING!  If seeing all the spooky Some Odd Girl projects weren’t treat enough, we also have treats you can WIN along the way!  There is no telling which Design Team member will have a treat available on their blog, so you have to visit and comment at each for a chance to win digi stamps or other fun treats!

TrickorTreat

Today, I have a scrap tastic trick for you though.  But don’t worry, it doesn’t involve hurling eggs or covering your trees in TP.  It’s a crafty trick.

If you’re anything like me, you love to hoard loads of papers and embellies and stuff (The stuff is very important. I must have lots and lots of stuff).  After a while, you probably notice it piling up a bit and the scraps from 12×12 paper sheets begin to take over your craft space.

Well, I’ve always thought tags were the perfect way to put all those lovely scraps to good use.  I created this entire scrap tastic (!!!) tag using scraps of paper and various odds and ends I keep in bowls on my desk.  I even used scrap pieces of bakers twine from other projects for the top.  The final touch that brought it all together was the super fun Flapper Kaylee ready for her Halloween Party and the whole thing was so simple and quick to put together!

If you haven’t started the hop yet, click HERE to begin! You have until October 31st at midnight Eastern to visit each blog and leave a comment, because the more comments you leave, the more chances you have to win a treat!  Winners will be announced back here on the Some Odd Girl blog on Monday, November 3rd.   ANNNND you can also use coupon code TRICKORTREAT to save 25% off your WHOLE order at the Some Odd Girl store!  That ends Friday night too.

Have a super spooky and scrap tastic day!
We’ll see you here tomorrow for another fun Halloween post!

  1. You’d never know this was made from scraps. I love to put them to go use and you did a great job.
    thanks for sharing.

  2. So Cute, I love the Flapper Kaylee image, it makes me think of the ’20’s! As for your Trick, I’m not anything like you… that is to say rather I’m exactly like you! I work hard not to waste my paper and then I save things like the little punch outs from dies and punches if they make special shapes. There perfect for fun confetti in shaker boxes or gluing to flowers.

  3. What an adorable tag, love the colors!
