Trick or Treat with Some Odd Girl!

Trick or Treat with Some Odd Girl!

We’d like to welcome you to Some Odd Girl‘s 2nd annual Trick or Treat Halloween Hop

Thank you so much for joining us!  All of the Odd Girls have concocted a creepy little creation to inspire you today, and you’re invited to visit each blog to see what’s been brewing!

We’ll be sharing some of these pretties here over the next few days, but TODAY, we kick things off!  So you might be wondering what this Trick or Treat stuff is all about, yeah?  Well, in addition to amazing papercrafty goodness you’ll see at each stop, you might get tricks along the way, too!  Simple tips and tricks to little secrets we papercrafters have figured out that we want to share with you!  That covers the Tricks.

And then there are TREATS! Goodies to be won!

As you hop, you’ll come across some Treats, located at random Odd Girls’ blogs.  We have some clear stamps, some Odds & Ends, some digi stamps and lots and lots of inspiration for you!  AND, as if that wasn’t exciting already, we have a discount code for you!

for 25% off your entire purchase during the hop

Be sure to leave a comment at each stop, and if YOU have any tricks you’d like to share, we’d love to hear them!  There might just be a prize in it for one commenter who leaves us a trick!  Okay.  So have you got all that?  Are you ready?  Well allllll righty!  LET’S HOP!   Here’s your hop order:

  7. An AWESOME job by all! I loved the creativity going around and the ideas for projects other than just cards. So many useful Tricks I can’t wait to use them.

One of my Tricks is rather than buying up every color flower that I want, I instead buy them in white and use my Copics to custom color them for my projects!

Thank you so much everyone for sharing, I hope that all you girls have a Hauntingly Happy Halloween! 🙂

  12. What an Awesome Blog Hop! Thanks for all the inspirations!!

  13. Can’t wait to see all of the awesome DT inspiration and pick up some tricks! I love to make my own enamel dots from perler beads and crafting on the cheaper side.

  14. Yay, love blog hops, love Halloween and love SOG!!! Off to hop, can’t wait to see what everyone has made!

  15. this is getting me in the halloween spirit. what a fun idea. and great ways to get inspired. I am sort of in a card making/stamping/chipboard slump right now! hoping for inspiration

  16. A good blog hop is just what the doctor ordered (LOL spent yesterday in a dentist chair) so I plan to spend today eating soup & pudding….and doing the SOG hop….oh and SHOPPING 🙂

  17. We live in a kidless neighborhood, so we don’t have trick or treaters. But I’ve been hoarding empty TP rolls to make sour cream treat holders for the nieces and nephew. Spray them black and purple, add some sparkle here and there, finish up with a cute tag, and voila!

  18. Just finished the Hop. So many amazing projects and great Tricks (Tips). Hope everyone has a Spooktacular Halloween.

  19. Loved all the fun and inspiring creations on this hop. I could not get Tabbatha’s page to open up to see her wonderful (I bet) creation. Will try back later on.

    1. Just commented on Tabbatha’s blog. And I was right – I was a wonderful creation. I don’t know what was happening earlier. Just happy I was able to see her project.

  20. Thanks Kristy and the SOG team! I saw so many great cards, treat boxes and gift ideas; and I learned some new tricks along the way too! Thank you!

    1. I just noticed I was supposed to leave my trick on this first stop of the hop, so here it is again: Brayer or rub your ink pad over the inside of your embossing folder-put it on the side that will be facing up on your card. Run the folder through your embossing machine and Viola! Your background will be the perfect color to match your project and if you started with white paper, the raised, embossed images will still remain white! I think this gives a unique, cool look to projects and cards! Hope you like this tip–er, ah —trick!

  21. I love a blog hop AND a sale, Happy Halloween to us!!! Off to check out all the inspiration!!

  22. More SOG goodness!

  23. Thanks…I had a lot of fun hopping around, learned a bit and added some images to my wish list!!! 😉
    Hugs, Laila
