Hey Oddies, Nicole here to spread the love with a Valentine’s Day treat and tutorial. I love creating little Valentines Day treats to spread the love. This fun, simple project is bound to bring a smile to the person who receives this little card. Let’s get started!
First, grab the supplies listed in the picture. I used Artist Mae clear stamp set , Breakfast Friends and Sunshine Sorbet paper pad in this project, but feel free to grab any of your favorite Some Odd Girl products.
Die cut the shapes of your Valentine cards.
Next, stamp your Some Odd Girl sentiments and images on your patterned paper and solid cardstock. Remember when stamping on patterned paper you don’t always have to color your image in, but if you do, grey is a great color that works with most patterned paper.
Lastly, add a little coloring to your images and adhere the shapes together to complete your little Valentine treats. Below are three examples of this Valentine’s Day treat.
(isn’t this a fun way to layer your image for interest?!)
First up, our Spotlight! Because HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Some Odd Girl! Thanks for celebrating our 5 years with us, Sharon! I love the cut background and shimmer on your card featuring the gorgeous Ribbons portrait digi stamp – the soft colors are beautiful against the black, which makes everything POP!
Sharon, you get a free digi from the Some Odd Girl shop, because we love our Oddies and OH MY GOODNESS there are some hot new digis! Please email me at email@example.com and I’ll hook you up with your code!
And congrats to Yorlis, who’s been pinning away and sharing lots of fab projects in our Facebook community, too! This card has earned you the Pin of the Week badge because a) pocket card; and b) look at the DRESS our Cupcake Mae clear stamp is wearing! SHIMMERY!
Thank you both for sharing your projects with us, and we hope we’ll see you playing along with our February Linky Party which will kick off very soon!
Have a great weekend, Oddies! See you Monday (and maybe we have a little tidbit tomorrow for ya, if you’re around!) and STAY ODD!
