Color Swatch Journal has begun!

Color-swatch-from-Some-Odd-Girl

Hey Oddies! Today we are kicking off our first edition of Color Swatch Journal prompts in our Community. Before I share my journal with you I want to give you the details on our Monthly fun.

On the first Wednesday of the month I will share with you a color with an example of a blending group that goes with that color. Its your job to take that color prompt as inspiration to experiment and find your own blending group and share it with the community. Everyone learns new groups, everyone gets some coloring time in, win-win!

Part two on the third Wednesday of the month is for you to take your color blending group OR someone else’s that you liked and color an image using it. Up to you if then goes on a card or not or if you just share the image in our Community.

Ask any questions you have! Its meant to be some quick and easy fun each month.

Ready for the first prompt?

We’re going green for March and St Patty’s day!

I’m providing you with groups for the media I have but you can take this to any media YOU do.

I will be putting all the color groups I gather into my Color Swatch Journal.

Mine is just an A5 size 3 ring binder. If you need some inspiration on how to store your color ideas and notes I have 3 examples for you all wrapped up with a bow in a post on my personal blog for you.

I really can’t wait to see what you do with the prompt and hear about it in our Community!

  1. I love that you’re giving us colors for both copic and spectrum noir!!! I have the latter and get frustrated that there are so many color swatches for copics, but rarely for SN. Thank you for that!!

Glad you’re joining us Irene! I have both SNs and Copics here at home and while I’m not as versed in the SNs I’ve been doing a ton of swatch testing so I hope to help lots of people in that area 🙂 I’m glad its appreciated!

  2. Yes! What Irene said! I too have SNs and I find it frustrating when I can’t find color swatches for them! Thank you, thank you, thank you!
