Good morning, Oddies!
Alexis here with some Thursday Inspiration for you. Today I decided to get inky and make a vintage tag using our Frenchie Gwen clear stamp set and Distress Inks. This is actually my first time using Distress Inks to color an image and I’m really digging the soft, old photo feel of it. It’s definitely something I’ll do again! The background of the tag is a combination of cork, paint, paper scraps, mirror, dyed ribbon, flowers and a whole mess of ink.
I stamped Frenchie Gwen on watercolor paper using brown ink instead of black. I did the same with the two sentiment hearts from the same set. The watercolor paper is much more forgiving when layering the paint/ink on – think of your Distress Inks as watercolor paints!
I think next I’ll make a matching tag using Frenchie Kody, but his will be in all navy and red! In fact, I’m gonna go start that now….bye!!!
