July Spotlight!

July Spotlight!

Spotlight

Hey there everyone! Kristy here with you for this month’s Spotlight! Each month I’ll be choosing projects I’ve seen that wowed me, then sharing those creative Oddies with you here on our blog. If you want to be in the spotlight, all you need to do is get your craft on and be sure to share those projects! Our Community is a great place to share, and the bi-weekly challenges can kickstart your mojo. We got you!

So this month, perusing our Community, I’ve spotted a couple projects that I knew needed to be here. I know you’ll agree with me too.

The first I’d like to share is from our last challenge, to get your recycling on and make something new…

The transformation Alexandra Raoult made with this cheese round box using our Under the Sea Mae clear stamp set was just STUNNING! You’d never know how it began its life, would you? Rock on Alexandra!

Second up is a card from the first challenge of the month (I guess I’ve really been checkin’ out those entries since July!); the theme was “Water”…

Firstly I was drawn in by Renee Leon’s spunky coloring of our Penguin Tia digi stamp but her background, and tie in to the challenge, is really stellar! The technique of making clouds this was is tried & true with a blue sky but flipping the script and turning it into a snow storm blew me away!

I guess the moral of the story with these is… I really do check out our challenges… lol!

If you’d like to be in the Spotlight in August, then get YOUR groove on, create, and share all your Odd creations with us.  Remember we’re on Instagram and Pinterest, too – pin away and use the #SomeOddGirl hashtag to be seen!  Your name might be the answer to the question “which Oddies are rockin’ it this month?“!  Thanks for playing along, friends, and sharing your amazingly Odd projects!  We love being inspired by YOU!
