Easy peasy Some Odd Girl coaster tutorial from Judy!

Hello Odd friends, you’ve got Judy here today bringing you a little “how-to”.  I want to show you how to make drink coaster using your Some Odd Girl patterned paper.  It is a super easy project that’s great for your home, office, CRAFT SPACE, or as a nice little gift.   So let’s get started!

Of course you will need your typical craft supplies, but in addition to that you, will need the following supplies:

Square tiles, 4×4 or 4 1/4×4 1/4 are good size (found at home improvement stores)
Mod Podge or similar type glue
Clear spray paint
Cork
Sponge brush or paint brush
Sunshine Sorbet pattern paper

Cut your paper into squares.  I wanted a little of the white tile to show like a border, so I cut mine smaller than my tile by about 3/8 of an inch.

Apply a thin layer of Mod Podge all over the back of your paper and place it on the tile.  Let that dry, then paint a layer over the entire top of the tile and paper.  Let this layer dry and apply another coat on top after that.

Once your layers have completely dried, spray the coaster with a coat of clear paint. After that has dried really well, cut cork or felt (just slightly smaller than the tile) and adhere it to the bottom.  This will keep the coaster from scratching the table surface.

See how easy that was?!  You can cut up your papers for different patterns on your coasters or use the papers to do all the work for you!  Now get out there and make a set for yourself… And then share pictures with us on Instagram (#SomeOddGirl) or Facebook.   We hope you’ll stop by and chat with us and see what new challenges are going on!
