Hello Some Odd Girl Fans!
Kimberly Wiener here!
I am a big fan of Pinterest, are you? I can lose myself there if I am not too careful… So much fun making your own boards to look at later. I also love to take my own photos, print them in various sizes, and put them onto my own “Pinterest” board.
Today I am sharing a project highlighting that you can also print digital stamp images on designer scrapbook paper and make your own mini “Pinterest” board.
I found this totally cool 12×12 paper by Kaisercraft called Fairy Dust. The paper has an image of a fairy in the left portion. I purchased the paper for the lovely watery color and the fronds and ferns that resemble underwater grasses. The paper coloring is perfect for some really great photos that I took when we took our boy to the Maui Ocean Center on a recent vacation.
I cut the 12×12 down to 8.5×11 and fed it face down into my printer. Selecting the Merman Kody digital image, I sized it so it would take up about half the sheet. The other half of the page will highlight a mini gallery of my favorite colorful images.
After printing Merman Kody I colored him with Copics in greens, purples and blues. The background was also colored to add more interesting shadows and colors. It was so great to have a larger scale (like a coloring book) to color! I selected about 10 photos and, once printed, left a white border around them. Some of the photos were adhered directly to the page and to others, I added some double-sided foam tape for more interest and dimension.
I hope that you are inspired to make your own FUN mini gallery of your favorite images!
