Hi Oddies, Christa here with her favorite theme, Mermaids!
This is Mermaid Glide Piper. When I saw her I just knew, she is gonna swim in a big wave, a pipeline.
I color the background with ecoline brush pens, they have more pigment and are brighter than the tansaigambi . You use them just like copics but you must work quickly with the water. If you don’t do that you get thick stripes and that is not nice on your work.
It was really a challenge to draw a big wave, I just look like a smurf with all the blue ink on my hands LOL. Lots of blue and green, I used the white Molotow marker to make the sea foam.
I colored Piper with green blue colors and gave the tail some dots, I made those dots using drops of water then let it dry, you get this awesome effect.
I also drew a little beach with some palm trees, and seagulls in the sky.
On the side, I diecut some seaweed, to which I added some stickles glitter and little gems. If you look closely, you can see I also added stickles glitter in the white parts of the wave.
I hope you like my creation for MerMay!
