Good Morning everyone! Kristy with you today bringing you a very special post with some very special people.

If you weren’t aware, the Some Odd Girl Design Team is made up off some awesome designers who do not have a set term, they are pretty much with us until the end of time. We watch and keep an eye out for designers that are Odd enough to fit in our family and ask them aboard rather than a call. We do the same with our Guest Designers so if you’d like to be considered make sure to show us your stuff in our community. We are watching shhhhhhh!

All that said, we have found two dapper creatives to come aboard and bring their fresh creativity to our Design Team. If you hang out in the Community you might recognize them, but now you can get to know them a bit better…

Sharla Laursen | This Thing Called Life

Hi everyone, I’m so excited to be part of the SOG DT!! My name is Sharla and I live in Southern Utah.  I’ve been a fan of Some Odd Girl for many years and love coloring up SOG images!!   I love scrapbooking, card making, reading, movies, traveling, diet coke and chocolate.  I have two adult children, my daughter is 20 and lives close to me, my son is almost 25 and is a police officer in Las Vegas, I have 3 step-daughters, one who has given us our first grandchild!  My husband is very supportive of my need to color and create.  I love to just color images, make cards, create art journal pages and canvas pieces.  I look forward to being part of the Some Odd Girl team!

Nichole Parker | I’d Rather Be Crafting

Hi there Oddies!  I’m honored to be on the Some Odd Girl Design Team.  I’m Nichole and I live to colour! I’ve been an avid supporter and fan of Some Odd Girl stamps for quite a few years.  You can probably say I’m addicted!  I love designing cards, logos, stickers, making my own designs for Silhouette Cameo, and of course all things crafty!  I have been making cards since 2010, and almost exclusively do cards but dabble in art journaling as well.  I have a partner who supports my crafty habits (as long as I remember everyone’s birthdays and every holiday!) and a very small demanding cat named Tinkerbell.  I’m down under – living in New Zealand and am enjoying every minute of it.  I’m so excited to be a member on the Design Team!

Join me in welcoming Nichole and Sharla to the Team! WOOHOO! These are two designers that I’ve always admired so I’m thrilled to have them on the team.

Sharla and Nichole will be making their team debut with us on Monday when we have our next Digi Stamp release, Gnomes! I’ve seen the creations and, trust me, you’ll want to be here to see them.

Hello oddies, it’s Ellen here for you today.
Do you remember my last card? On that card I combined two digital stamp sets; “Prince Charming Tobie” and “Breezey Mae” (click here to see it), of course that gave me a new idea. That’s why I combined these two cuties “Frenchie Kody” and “Moulin Mae“.

Aren’t these old and new stamps great together? If you use similar colors they look like a perfect French couple.

ps. The Some Odd Girl Design Team got the new digi images for the release week; believe me it’s really something to look forward to (hihi).

Hello Some Odd Girl Fans!

Kimberly Wiener here!

Selecting the perfect Odd image for your background!

I start by printing some FUN Some Odd Girl Digis.  I selected Sway Mae, Shy Kaylee, Hula Hoop Mae and Angry Persian! I have collected some papers that have similar tones and color themes.  This FUN house paper has light oranges, pinks, blue greens and some tan tones.  Now I determined which is the right image.  If I use Angry Cat, he may not show up too well.  Sway Mae and Shy Kaylee are sweet, though I think the movement of Hula Hoop Mae will really bring focus on her and be perfect for the house background too.

Sway Mae                 Shy Kaylee                      Angry Persian              Hula Hoop Mae

For the house papers to have a little more character, I have cut the top edge and added some light blue striped paper behind it.  A light grey and a sweet designed border makes a  street for Hula Hoop Mae to play on.   After affixing all of the papers I place the sentiment and image.

I match copic colors to the house paper colors and lightest to darkest colored the image.
