Hellooooooo, Odd Friends! Welcome to HUMP DAY at the SOGgy blog – we are happy to introduce a few more of our brand new Odd Girls and show off some of their fantastic creations using images from next week’s digi release at SomeOddGirl.com!

Can you handle all this excitement? We’re having loads of fun getting to know our new designers, and we’re sure you’re gonna love what they have to share!

So this is DAY THREE of our Intros and Sneaks week, which means that HOPEFULLY you’ll have already left comments on the last two posts, so you’ll be eligible to win the sneaks from those days. Are you enjoying the sneaks? Do you recognize any of our new Odd Girls? Well we have another familiar face today…. Please join us in welcoming back Caz for another term with the team!

Caroline Sears
Hi, I am Caroline although in the crafting world most people call me Caz. I am 41, and live in the UK with my husband of 22 years David and our 9 year old daughter Georgia. I started cardmaking back in 2004, I became hooked while buying gifts for my lovely Mother in Law who also makes cards. After about a year of card making I added Scrapbooking and other Home Decor items to my hobby list. I am a proper night owl and most of my best creations are made late at night and into the small hours of the morning. Once I am engrossed in what I am doing it is normal for me to roll into bed at 2am…..and then have to be up again at 7am. Since January 2008 I have been hooked on stamping and colouring with my Copics, and have managed to introduce quite a few on my friends back to it. My daughter is also a huge fan of colouring, and we regularly sit together and make cards, I even got my 10 year old niece hooked too. My cards tend to be quite dimensional and regularly feature flowers, pins, bling, glitter, lace and ribbon. I have been told I have a good eye for colour….even though I cannot draw for toffee…thank goodness for talented artists like Kristy who provide me with wonderful images to colour.
Caz made this bold and graphic card using our newest critter, Prof Hoot!
Caz also had a hard time resisting the spunky and sweet Cheer Kaylee!

Next, we’d like to introduce you to some more of the newest faces at Some Odd Girl! Ready?
Elena Fontanelli
Hi, my name is Elena, I’m a young Italian girl, I live in the beautiful warm Tuscany that I love with all my heart and I’m going to open you now my little creative world. I’m a graphic designer for studies, I hope a day I’ll be a nurse for my job and a photographer for passion. I love craft, buttons, paper, animal, nordic countries, books and reading, fantasy, mythical and fairies stories and ice-cream. Fruit ice-cream is better. I’m not sure that you’ll like what I make but you must know that everything is made with heart and a lot of fantasy.
Elena also got to play with the wise old Prof Hoot, and made a card that might make you think of Hogwarts, and a couple of projects that might have you anxious for school to come around again!

Christina wanted to get in on the action – because who can resist Prof Hoot?!

Next and new to the team is….

Vera Yates
blog: Ling’s Design Studio

Hi all! My name is Vera Wirianta Yates or you can also call me by my nickname Lingling. I am originally from Indonesia, but been calling Texas home for the past 16 years. I just turned 36, married to a super supportive hubby who understand my stamping addiction, and mommy to 2 fur legged kids. I enjoy all kind of craft, but I love scrapbooking and card making the most. I started scrapbooking back in 1996 and got into card making soon after. I love pretty papers, cute stamps, and colors. Colors makes me happy. Oh… and good cheesecake makes me happy. I’ve been known to apply the sentiment “eat dessert first” in real life. I am a avid Harry Potter fans, who of course love everything Harry Potter related, and love movies (is it odd that I keep a list of movies I watch each year?), reading, and travelling. I am a quiet girl, but once you know me I can be quite a chatter box and you might have a hard time shutting me off. 🙂 I am an easy going gal, who’s sometime can be super cheesy and goofy. I am also a smiley kind of person. Love to smile and love to make other people smile. I am so excited to be part of Some Odd Girl and looking forward to this new and fun adventure.
Vera used Prof Inch on this happy and bright back-to-school greeting!

And she couldn’t wait to create with the sweet School Book Tia!

Kristy also used Prof Inch for a bright and bold schooly card!

Welcome back for another day of sneaks and introductions to our new Odd Girls!

So tell us… what did you think of our new All Star Kody and Cheer Kaylee? Kody looks a lil grown up, I think he just got a hair cut but he’s standing tall!

Well to keep this party rollin’ along, we’ve got 2 new images and 3 Odd Girls to introduce you to today! Yesterday was all about the teens/college kids, and today we go back to our ABCs and 123s.

First, though, is another familiar face. She’s been with us since the very beginning and we are so happy to have her with us! Welcome back for another fabulous term as an Odd Girl, Robin!

Robin McKinley

My name is Robin McKinley, and I live in Brampton, Ontario, Canada, and work downtown Toronto. A little bit about me: well, I am obsessed with paper crafting – especially stamping! I love all things ink and paper, and I especially love colouring! I also really enjoy participating in online challenges! By day, I am a Reservations Supervisor at a prestigious Toronto hotel, and by night, I am a stamping machine. I also LOVE to read, and I love animals too. I routinely go to the gym to keep active, and I try to travel as much as possible.

Robin used Book Bag Tobie, and doesn’t he look EXCITED for school?
(So are the parents among us – ha!)

Our next Odd Girl has joined us as a guest before and has been playing along regularly with our challenges, so you might recognize her. Please welcome Amy!

Hi, I’m Amy and I’m a small town nerdy girl from the Pacific Northwest who loves stamping, cardmaking and scrapbooking. I’ve had an affinity for all sorts of arts and crafts from as far back as I can remember, but it wasn’t until 2002 that I was introduced to scrapbooking. Then a little over two years ago I found Copics, along with all of the wonderful stamps that I could color with them, and I was immediately hooked. Now I enjoy blogging and sharing my creations on a daily basis, and I treasure the community of fellow stampers that I have been so lucky to get to know through this wonderful hobby of ours. I am totally thrilled to be getting Odd with the rest of the gals here at Some Odd Girl!

Some non-crafty tidbits about me include… historical romance novels are a total guilty pleasure, I’m a huge Gleek and the only songs on my iPod are Glee songs, I have the cutest Yorkie and the craziest cat to keep me company when I’m not at work, and I have a very active imagination which I hope to someday translate into a story or two that I can share with others. 🙂

This Bookish Tia card by Amy is so bright and sunny,
it would make anyone want to go back to school!

And our last fresh face today you might recognize as our first ever Guest Odd Girl. Give a big welcome (back) to Corry!

Corry Smyrski

I am a happily married (most of the time)-lol- mother of 3 great (most of the time)-lol- children. A 10 year old girl, a 3 yr old boy & a 17 month old boy! I live in Canada (not in an igloo-lol) & love experiencing 4 genuine seasons in 12 months….From Sun to Snow! I love it!

I first became interested in ‘hand made’ stuffs in 2006, after seeing my girlfriends homemade baby shower guest book! I was IN LOVE! I then found scrapbooking; first traditional then digital; then moved to making cards in 2008. First SU then CTMH, now digital images & many many many other rubba stamps that meet my fancy! I love my home away from home in blogland. It allows me to share my creative side! I live by the motto “everything happens for a reason” & being ODD with Some Odd Girl this term is yet ANOTHER reason for PHENOMENAL things to happen! I am super stoked to have been chosen for this team with all these wonderful ladies!!!!! YaHOoooo!!

Corry used Book Bag Tobie on this wee bookmark – how perfect!
(and what a great way to inspire the little ones to read!)
ďťżCorry also whipped up a card featuring
Book Bag Tobie & Bookish Tia as brother and sister!

Sarah couldn’t resist jumping in on this one too,

And if you know us, you know that Sneaks Week means FREE STUFF! You could win the sneaks we share just by leaving comments on that day’s posts. See, tons of fun!

Picking this team was literally the toughest its been yet! There was SO much talent in the apps that came in that I could have filled this team 3 times over and STILL felt bad for sending someone the “sorry” email. Today we will be introducing you to 3 of the team so let’s get started…

Our first Odd Girl is a returning face who will not only be joining us for another term but joining us as a Co-DT Coordinator! You’re going to get to know her a little differently with her new role, and we’re sure you’re gonna love this gal as much as we do! Welcome back Sarah!

Sarah Rice

My name is Sarah Rice, a 32 year old crazy crafty chick, and I’m proud to be ODD. I live in NE Ohio with my husband Matt and I’m currently a stay at home mom to my darling and daring 21 month old daughter Aubrey. I also work for a non profit that raises money for children with cancer. I teach crafts/scrapbooking at their summer camp every year. I enjoy throwing/planning parties, cooking, board games, football, movies and exploring any kind of festival or fair. I’m hopelessly addicted to coca cola, post secret, taking pictures of my daughter and Facebook. I am a complete night owl.

I ODDly scrap mostly 8.5×11 layouts and I love to rock funky cards, mini albums, ATCs and the occasional hair accessory for Miss Aubs. I love to try new techniques and play with art supplies but ODDly enough Ive never even held a copic marker. I’ve never met a craft I didn’t like and hope to some day be able to crochet cute little hats and make dresses for my daughter. Paper crafting has always been my favorite of all. I’m so excited to be designing with the completely cute stamps from Some Odd Girl.
Sarah‘s fun card features the brand new Cheer Kaylee!

Our next 2 Odd Girls are fresh faces but if you’ve joined in on our challenges or had been lucky enough to find their blogs they might be familiar faces. Please welcome…
Melissa Andrew
Hi ya I’m Melissa, a 35 year old wife and mother of two sweet girls (8 and almost 2) and one rotten kitty. I’m from a small town in Ohio but now live in Portland, OR where I work as a Research Associate. My job allows me to come home and forget about it so that I can spend time with my family and my crafting! I’m a jabber jaw once you get me started but have often been compared to Eeyore! I didn’t start paper crafting really until 2010 and I fell hard core in LOVE! Luckily, I have the best hubs in the world that has not only supported my habit but has been known to go out and buy me tons of Some Odd Girl stamps! I have a complete addiction to Copics and pretty paper. You’ll find most of my creations are clean and simple as I like to showcase the images, papers and my coloring. Aside from crafting I love to read and find myself reaching for my Kindle when not crafting. My family inspire me everyday to create something new and I’ve actually found myself watching hubs play his favorite video games to inspire creativity! I love searching for inspiring ideas in the world around me. I’m SO thrilled to be working with the Odd girls!
Melissa used Cheer Kaylee on her bright and happy card, too!
