Welcome back, Odd friends!  Leah here!  We hope you’re all doing well in preparation for the holidays, and getting your festive craft on!  Thank you again to everyone who played along with our recipe challenge – and there was SO much SOGgy love, it nearly brought tears to our eyes!  🙂  Thanks for your continued support – we’re glad so many of you are enjoying Some Odd Girl stamps!

Today, we have a new challenge that brings things off the page a bit.  We want to see….

Easel Cards!

That’s it.  Seriously!  Create an easel card, use whatever stamps/images you like, use any theme in the world.  And you don’t have to use a Some Odd Girl image, but if you do, you get another entry in the random draw for our winner!

Ready to get your craft on?  Well let’s just take a moment to inspire your socks off first, shall we?  We’re very happy to introduce our Guest Odd Girl for the months of December and January…

Linda Aniansson

Blog: citronlime

Hi, my name is Linda also known as Citronlime on forums and blogs.

I´m 32 years old and I live in small town in Sweden  with my husband,

our three children (Lilja 8 year, Lotus 6 years and Lillebror 4 years) and three furry cats (Norwegian Forest cat).

I started scrapbooking in January 2007 and it didn´t take very long before I made my first card. Before that I said “Oh no, stamps and stuff like that isn´t my cup of tea”. Damn, I was so wrong! I bought my first stamps and then I was hooked.I think that today I´m more of a cardmaker, but I love to do layouts and alter. I have my own scraproom, which used to be playroom for the children…but now it´s my playroom 😉

The first time I saw stamps from Some Odd Girl was when a friend of mine had joined the design team. And well what can I say;  it was love at first sight.

I wanna say thanks to all of you that voted on my card, I´m just overwhelmed and had to pinch myself to make sure that I wasn´t dreaming!

Linda, we are thrilled to have you as our Guest for the month, and we can’t wait to see what other goodies you’ll be sharing!

Here’s Linda’s gorgeous card, using Winter Mae:

And there you have it, folks!  GORGEOUS inspiration from our talented team, and now we hope your head is swimming with ideas for your easel cards, too!  Join us and play along – link up below (I was having problems logging into InLinkz, so our little blue frog will be joining us soon, I promise!) and be sure to link back to the Some Odd Girl challenge blog in your own blog post.  You could be our lucky winner, or chosen as an Odd Fave!  Play along by Tuesday, December 20th at midnight Eastern Standard Time, and STAY ODD!  🙂

Welcome welcome! I am a dork and forgot it was Wednesday. I was still stuck in Tuesday land. But no matter what day it is we had some really fun entires into our recipe challenge! So tough picking from this group! I know I say that like everytime but seriously! Its SO true! Our winner of the challenge as picked by random.org is…

Congrats! Email me to collect your prize Mimi!

Our two favs here really caught my eye because of how they worked the challenge! The design all flowed so well together that nothing looked like it was made to fit something specific.

Congrats to Kim Yu and Sandy! Amazing  job to you both and I love how neither is afraid of some color! Grab the fav badge to the right and wear it with pride!

Be back here tomorrow for a challenge that might make you look for something to lean on XD

ps. Did you see yesterdays post about our customer hop? Check it out!

Its that time of year again! I hope you’re excited because I am! We are going to be celebrating the holidays with our 2nd Annual Customer Holiday Hop! We did this last year and it was so much fun that we HAD to make it a tradition!

December 19-21 we will have a hop for anyone who wants to join in to show off a Odd holiday creation of their very own! Its going to be really simple this year. The morning of December 19th, just hop over here and link up YOUR holiday project. The only thing you need to be able to qualify is a Some Odd Girl image on your card and a holiday theme and you are good to go! There might be some random goodies given along the way  :DD

I have one more thing that might make this really fun… and its totally optional! A little contest and friendly competition. :V Link up and create a project that fits one of the catagories below and we’ll be picking the best from each catagory to win a super awesome prize pack! You’ll have to wait to see until the hop what the prizes are but you can bet they’ll be good! Here are the catagories:

Mens *Mens*- Create a holiday card for the men!
All White *White*- your creation must be all white NOT including you image. That may be colored.
Give a Little Gift *Gift*- some thing like a gift card holder or gift bag. Get creative!
Non Traditional *NT* – Non traditional colors or card design or subject. So many ways to run with it!

To enter a catagory when you link up just put the catagory after your name. For example Kristy *Mens* or Leah *NT* and we’ll know to include you, 1 entry per catagory only. Projects must be new as of this post and posted for the hop, no backlinking.

I know its a long way off, the hop, but I wanted to give everyone plenty of time to get ready to join the fun! Grab the badge for your blog from our sidebar. Now…

 who’s going to hop???
