Hey Oddies!

Melissa here today to remind you of our current challenge over in our Facebook Community!  The theme is TAG.  Create something NEW with a tag that features a Some Odd Girl clear stamp, digi stamp, or cut file!  (You don’t even have to create an actual tag, you just have to incorporate a tag into your project!)

One WINNER will receive a $10.00 gift certificate to the Some Odd Girl store.  Three WINNERS will receive the ‘Top Three’ badge to show off on their social media.  Post your tag creation in this ALBUM!

Here’s some bright and sunny inspiration featuring our gorgeous Roller Mae Digi Stamp to get your creative mojo hoppin’ today!  Is it freezing where you are?  It’s AWFULLY chilly right now, with frost on the ground (and the windshields – ugh!), and we’d all rather be in our crafty little spaces, merrily tagging away!  (Mae doesn’t seem to be bothered by the chill in the air, does she?!)

ROLLER MAE TAG

Good morning Oddies!!

Today it’s Ellen encouraging you to join the current challenge.

The current challenge theme is THANK YOU using ANY Some Odd Girl clear stamp, digi stamp or cut file!

One WINNER will receive a $10.00 gift certificate to the Some Odd Girl store.  Three WINNERS will receive the ‘Top Three’ badge for their social media page to show off!

This challenge runs until November 24 – next Wednesday!

This is what I made; a gift tag with the Foxy and Frenchie Gwen clear stamp sets.
Does this give you any fun ideas?

I hope to see you in the Facebook community!! 🙂

Good morning, Odd friends!

Today I (Ellen) will show you something that’s a challenge for me. I’m sharing a ‘CAS’ card I made. ‘CAS’ means ‘Clean And Simple’. For me that’s difficult because I love making scene cards with a lot of sequins; for ‘CAS’ cards you need the opposite; a lot of ‘white’ or ‘negative’ space, maybe just a few embellishments and a smooth look.

To me, it seemed the easiest to start with a one-layer card. When I masked off some parts of the card I was able to blend the background with ink. After that, I colored the stamp and stamped the word “Merci” (from the Frenchie Gwen clear stamp set). Finished it off with three rhinestones and used a pretty paper from the Sunshine Sorbet paper pad as background.

What do you think, did I succeed in my Clean and Simple mission?

We want to see ALL of your Some Odd Girl projects!  Busy and quirky, clean and simple, out of the box and off the page!  Share them HERE, in our Facebook community, and on Instagram using #SomeOddGirl, and don’t forget our linky party at the top right of this here blog!

See you tomorrow, Oddies!  Have an odd-tastic day!
