Good morning, Odd friends!

Today I (Ellen) will show you something that’s a challenge for me. I’m sharing a ‘CAS’ card I made. ‘CAS’ means ‘Clean And Simple’. For me that’s difficult because I love making scene cards with a lot of sequins; for ‘CAS’ cards you need the opposite; a lot of ‘white’ or ‘negative’ space, maybe just a few embellishments and a smooth look.

To me, it seemed the easiest to start with a one-layer card. When I masked off some parts of the card I was able to blend the background with ink. After that, I colored the stamp and stamped the word “Merci” (from the Frenchie Gwen clear stamp set). Finished it off with three rhinestones and used a pretty paper from the Sunshine Sorbet paper pad as background.

What do you think, did I succeed in my Clean and Simple mission?

We want to see ALL of your Some Odd Girl projects!  Busy and quirky, clean and simple, out of the box and off the page!  Share them HERE, in our Facebook community, and on Instagram using #SomeOddGirl, and don’t forget our linky party at the top right of this here blog!

See you tomorrow, Oddies!  Have an odd-tastic day!

Hi fellow ODD lovers – it’s Anna Sigga here today and since it’s my birthday today I thought I would share a quick and sweet birthday tag with you.

I absolute love creating cards but making a sweet lil’ tag can be just as much fun. Tags are great to have in one’s stash for a quick last-minute gift. I used the Sweet Thinkin’ Mae clear stamp set and colored her using my Derwent Inktense pencils.

So why not take some time one evening and create a bunch of all occasion tags to have ready for that last-minute gift we always seem to need?!  We would love to see your fab creations over at our Facebook Community … Don’t forget to tag them with #SOMEODDGIRL so we don’t miss your lovely work and can show you the love!

We’d like to welcome you to Some Odd Girl‘s 3rd annual
Trick or Treat Halloween Hop

Hop-Graphic-2015

Thank you so much for joining us!  This year we’re throwing a crafty costume party and all of the Odd Girls are sharing Halloween costume-themed creations!  The blog list is below, but you might want to keep this page open in case you get lost, because you’ll definitely want to hit all the houses… I mean blogs!

How will the trick or treating work? As you stop at each blog along the way to oooh and ahh at the fun Halloween costume-themed crafts, our Design Team will either have a treat for you or a trick (don’t be scared, it’s a crafty tip, and has nothing to do with house egging!).

I’m not telling you which Odd Girls have treats though and you can’t make me! In order to qualify for a treat, you have to leave a comment on every blog along the hop. One person from each treat blog comment section will be awarded a code for $10 of Digis in the Some Odd Girl shop

But we couldn’t let everyone else go without a little treat, so everyone can use code TRICKORTREAT to get 20% off your entire purchase through the weekend!

Don’t forget to leave a comment at every stop to qualify for a treat, and most importantly, have fun!

Are we ready? Here is your Hop order:

And there you have it!  We hop now through October 31st at midnight Eastern, and our winners will be announced next week in the newsletter, so if you haven’t signed up for it yet, click here.  Happy Haunting – I mean HOPPING!

Your first stop is Kristy!!

Have fun and a very Happy Halloween from all of us at Some Odd Girl!
