Good Morning everyone! Kristy with you today bringing you a very special post with some very special people.

If you weren’t aware, the Some Odd Girl Design Team is made up off some awesome designers who do not have a set term, they are pretty much with us until the end of time. We watch and keep an eye out for designers that are Odd enough to fit in our family and ask them aboard rather than a call. We do the same with our Guest Designers so if you’d like to be considered make sure to show us your stuff in our community. We are watching shhhhhhh!

All that said, we have found two dapper creatives to come aboard and bring their fresh creativity to our Design Team. If you hang out in the Community you might recognize them, but now you can get to know them a bit better…

Sharla Laursen | This Thing Called Life

Hi everyone, I’m so excited to be part of the SOG DT!! My name is Sharla and I live in Southern Utah.  I’ve been a fan of Some Odd Girl for many years and love coloring up SOG images!!   I love scrapbooking, card making, reading, movies, traveling, diet coke and chocolate.  I have two adult children, my daughter is 20 and lives close to me, my son is almost 25 and is a police officer in Las Vegas, I have 3 step-daughters, one who has given us our first grandchild!  My husband is very supportive of my need to color and create.  I love to just color images, make cards, create art journal pages and canvas pieces.  I look forward to being part of the Some Odd Girl team!

Nichole Parker | I’d Rather Be Crafting

Hi there Oddies!  I’m honored to be on the Some Odd Girl Design Team.  I’m Nichole and I live to colour! I’ve been an avid supporter and fan of Some Odd Girl stamps for quite a few years.  You can probably say I’m addicted!  I love designing cards, logos, stickers, making my own designs for Silhouette Cameo, and of course all things crafty!  I have been making cards since 2010, and almost exclusively do cards but dabble in art journaling as well.  I have a partner who supports my crafty habits (as long as I remember everyone’s birthdays and every holiday!) and a very small demanding cat named Tinkerbell.  I’m down under – living in New Zealand and am enjoying every minute of it.  I’m so excited to be a member on the Design Team!

Join me in welcoming Nichole and Sharla to the Team! WOOHOO! These are two designers that I’ve always admired so I’m thrilled to have them on the team.

Sharla and Nichole will be making their team debut with us on Monday when we have our next Digi Stamp release, Gnomes! I’ve seen the creations and, trust me, you’ll want to be here to see them.

Good morning, Oddies! Alexis here with a bit of fun news to share! As most of you probably know, last month saw our last project from Guest Odd Girl Elle and we were so sorry to see her go! She brought so much fun and creativity to the group and while she will forever be an Odd Girl, a new season means a new set of guest designers! Today I’m happy to introduce you to our new Guest Odd Girls who will be with us through the end of January!

Firstly, we have Kimberly Wiener, who has been blowing up the Some Odd Girl community with her Odd projects!

Hello!  My name is Kimberly Wiener and I am an avid cardmaker living in the wonderful Pacific Northwest. I am surrounded by many creative people that I have met through cardmaking that I am lucky to call my good friends.  When I am not working for an export company, or hanging out with my family, I am making cards or other crafty projects whenever possible, joining in challenges, or guest designing for various crafting community companies.  I just LOVE it.  My key to having and being a great inspiration is to work with what you love!  I hope that you will enjoy my creations as much as I enjoy making them.

Some of her Some Odd Girl projects:

We’re crazy happy to have her on the team this season, and we know she’s going to inspire your Odd little socks off!

And welcome Kim Rippere!  She is definitely no stranger to Some Odd Girl, and you’ve likely been loving on her great ideas for years, like we have!

I live with my partner (Edward), 2 indoor cats, 2 outdoor feral cats I am luring, and a dog in the far southwest corner of Georgia.  I have been creating for my whole life, from quilts, to locker hooking, to interior decorating, to paper crafting!  The list was just growing and growing.  I decided that I need to focus on something and chose paper crafting… which has now grown into card making, quilling, mixed media, artist trading cards, altered art, and swapping!  lol.

Please join me in wishing them an Oddly warm welcome and you’ll be delighted in seeing their projects on the blog very soon!!

Congrats, new Guest Odd Girls, and thank you for showing the SOGgy love!

Hi there, Oddies!  Leah here, totally thrilled to kick off the week with a huge, happy shout-out to our Guest Odd Girls, Elle and Ellen, who have TRULY brought their A-game and embraced their Oddness as a very appreciated part of our Design Team!

I’m sharing a few of my favorite projects from these lovely ladies, beginning with Ellen…  Here’s the first card of Ellen’s I ever spotlighted (I loved all the little things she did to create interest – the punched card, the cut file, the washi tape and the different layers of blue:

And a few selections to show off her techniquey style and mad skillz:

ellen cat

ellen dove

Ellen shares TONS of techniques and tools on her blog (like with the Dove Blending pen, above – SO cool!)- she likes to experiment with different coloring mediums, she combines stamp sets like nobody’s business, and her style is forever changing, evolving, and blowing my mind.  I’m so glad she’s our Guest Odd Girl for the next few months!  CLICK HERE to visit Ellen’s blog and prepare to spend LOTS of time reading and being inpired.

And then we have Elle (I swear it just happened this way, we didn’t plan it because of the names!)…  She’s been playing with Some Odd Girl stamps forEVER too, and my files don’t go far back enough to get the first card I spotlighted, but I’ve always been drawn to her super bold coloring style and the chatter on her blog.  Here’s an early spotlight:

And some more examples of Elle’s work: elle scarecrow

elle yeti

elle ghosty

Gorgeous, right?  Bold and bright.  Commanding attention.  That’s kind of how I think of Elle’s work.  She puts great effort into backgrounds and really pays mind to the detail in her coloring.  The last one is my fave of hers EVER.  She is also chatty and shares lots of organization tips on her blog, so GO VISIT HER!  You’ll want to bust out your markers or pencils and color along.

So I am SUPER thrilled these ladies are joining us as Guest Odd Girls.  They rock the deadlines, they put their best foot forward with each project, and I’m sure you’d all agree.  Thank you, Ellen and Elle, for sharing this adventure with us!  We are honored and very lucky to have you both!
