Hello everyone, Martine here with a double card this time.

The daughter of my closest friend has recently been separated from her boyfriend, so she needed a new house AND she had her birthday, so I thought… why not make two cards and glue them together??!

This is it!

So this one is for the new home…

I have used the digi stamp Moving Kaylee for this one. Colored her up, as usual, with my Distress Inks. Added a piece of washi tape ( cute isn’t it? ), some gauze and that sentiment from Tim Holtz where I put some shiny stuff on.

…and the birthday card…

By using Coffee cat … I think she is so cute!

Did you see her glasses? Also made with Glossy accent by Ranger. And here in the Netherlands, we have a brand called Dutchdoobadoo…..they have all sorts of shaped cards…( I always use those shapes for my cards..) …this coffee-mug is one of them ( and the card itself).

And it fit so well with Coffee Cat!

So, I hope you liked this one…eehhmm….two.. lol.

And hope to see you next time!

O….before I forget…..did you see the latest new digi? It’s for Valentine and is called Balloon Tobie

CHECK HIM OUT !!

Hugs from me…Martine

Glimpse of the past

Hello Oddies!

I went through some of my old photos of my cardmaking and stumbled over one of my very first card with a digi stamp from SomeOddGirl. I know Kristy and Some Odd Girl just celebrated their 9th birthday, and I made my first SOG cards in September/October that opening year.

Meet Ice Cream Tia. Isn’t she adorable! Anyway… I thought it would be fun to celebrate SomeOddGirls birthday lifting this card so that’s what I’ve done.

Well, I hope you can see the resemblance. I’ve made a background with watercolor (Scribble Sticks) instead of patterned paper and I changed the size of the card but they are quite similar don’t you think?

I had a blast making this card. Do you ever lift yourself? It’s a fun way to see your own progress.

Good morning, Oddies! Alexis here with a little love for you. While what I write inside might be serious, I prefer cheesy Valentine Cards when I make them. It feels nostalgic to those little valentines that got passed out at school with the cute, but totally corny puns.

For this card, I went back to an old favorite. Octee is one of my all time favorite digi stamps. He’s soooooooo cute, right?

I didn’t have a sentiment stamp for it, but I knew exactly what I wanted it to say. So, in my terrible handwriting, I put ‘I only have arms for you’ in the little speech bubble. I think it’s cute even though I wish I’d just had a stamp.

I’m working on more cheesy Valentines this month, so check them out on our community page and let me know what inspires you most!
