Blushing Christmas

Good morning, Oddies! Alexis here with a cutesy holiday card using the Baby Ballerina set from the Halloween release. I’m a huge believer in repurposing digi stamps, even if they were originally intended for another use.

For this sweet girl, I totally saw her sitting under the Christmas tree for gift time. Maybe her little ballet bunny was a gift from last year, or maybe it was the one she just opened!

With a different sentiment, this could be a totally different card, which is also kind of fun!

Christmas prank

Hi Oddies!
Today I´m back with a christmas card.

I was thrilled when I found the image I´ve used for todays card. It´s Christmas Prank Digi Stamp. I knew at once what scene I wanted for the sweet critters. I can here them giggling while trying to sneak out from their prank. Maybe they´ve hidden all gifts, as you can see there are none under the tree?!

I wanted to make a christmas tree as my mother does it. She´s not afraid of using ALL color for the ornaments. It´s crasy and just lovely. But I did hold on to just red ones. On the tinsel I´ve added some glitter, but my photo didn´t capture it.
If you don´t want to draw your own tree there´s always Build-a-Backgroud: Bushes & Trees Digi Stamps in the shop to use.

The sentence says something like “When Christmas morning is shimmering.”

Colors
Hedgehog: E40-41-42-43-44, R35-37-59, T3-T5
Birds: C1-3-5, R11-R35. T3-T5
Tree: YG95-97, BG96-99, R35-37-59, C1-3-5
Floor: E33-35-37
Walls: T1-3-5

Sakura Stardust Glitter Pen, Uniball White

The critters was so fun to color so I hope you´ll try them out as well.
Have a nice day!
/Helen

Santa’s little helpers

Hi everyone! It’s Giada here and today I’m sharing more Holidays projects with you. I’m getting ready for Christmas because I’m mass-producing cards as a busy bee, but it seems that all the effort is worth it!

In this blog post I’m showcasing a couple of cards with Tobie dressed up like Santa’s helper (and colored with different color palettes). In the first card I used mint, grey, white and silver colors and I put the image on a coordinated patterned paper.

At the same time, I wanted to color Tobie with traditional Christmas shades. In this case I chose red, green, white and gold and I picked two patterned paper with the same colors. I used alcohol markers as my coloring medium.

I really like both versions, especially thanks to Tobie‘s face: his tongue makes me think of me and my brother – we did the same when we were children and focused on a job!

And what about you: what are your favorite subjects and shades for Holidays cards? Tell us and share your project in our Facebook Community – if you’re not in, let’s join us!
