Best….Friends?

Good morning, Oddies! Alexis here continuing my Some Odd Girl blog takeover this week! As I mentioned before, my humor tends to run a little on the dark side and sometimes I like my cards to reflect that inner cursing sailor, especially when at first look, the card is cute and whimsical. I’ve found a couple of stamp sets over the years that use hilariously vulgar language, and I love pairing them up with Some Odd Girl Stamps because the images are so darn cute that it makes the language that much more shocking and funny when you notice it.

As a reminder, if you’re sensitive to foul language, please know it’s all in good fun and feel free to look away.

My final card uses the Cookies and Milk stamps, which I’ve always adored. This one has no cursing in it, but the sentiment is very much similar to my sense of humor and made me laugh as soon as I saw it. I knew at once I needed to pair with this cutsie picture of cookies and milk frolicking together!

It’s kind of the opposite of a Valentine lol! I’m very lucky that my friends all get just as big of a kick out of these as I do. I’d hate to miss the mark! lol

Well, that’s it from me this week. I hope you enjoyed these funny takes on the Some Odd Girl images.

My second card uses Hoodie Bunny from July’s release. I love this one extra because it’s so happy and the sentiment is so subtle on the bottom of the card.

I also attempted to color her a little like Louise from Bob’s Burgers, because she reminded me so much of that beloved character.

Keep an eye out later this week for my last silly card post!

Aquarius in the clouds

Happy Tuesday ODD fans!

I decided to give the Aquarius Digi stamp some play time.

I actually had the perfect paper in my stash so I colored with that in mind. using Spectrum Noir Illustrator markers. I kept the colors to what I feel is a stormy look – blues and grays. For card embellishments I simply cut some of the clouds from the extra patterned paper and popped them on. The overall look is quite simple, but I’m pleased with the results.

Be sure you share all your ODD colorings and creations in our Facebook community, we love to see everyone’s oddness!

-Melissa
