Hey everyone! Tabbatha here today with a Throwback Thursday inspirational post for you. Do you have an older image that you just love, even though it has been retired? Well, I do and so I’m sharing her with you today. 🙂 Sometimes you just have to reach for those loved images, ya know?

For those that don’t recognize the image it is Party Girl Gwen, which, as mentioned, is retired. Her lovely locks and gorgeous dress have been a favorite to color up. Plus those little streamers and sentiment totally rocked!

Copic Markers used on this image:
Skin: E50, E00, E21, R20
Eyes: E35, E37
Hair: YR21, E55, E57, E79
Dress: BG10, BG11, BG13, BG09

For the layout of the card I wanted it to be bright and have some bling! I grabbed myself my favorite paper – Sunshine Sorbet and die cut it with cloud stitched borders. I used another stitched border die to cut some glitter foam. The black glitter really makes for a classy look and adds that wonderful contrast I so love.

Now that I’ve shown you a blast from the past, lets talk about what images you can still purchase that features a similarly lovely Gwen. How about Happy Gwen Digi Stamp? We get that lovely Gwen smile and a great dress to color as well. Or for those clear stamp inclined, Dare to Be Gwen Clear Stamp set is a great alternative. It features some great sentiments, as well as a great way to practice pleats!

Hey all! Tabbatha here today for a bit of spring-time love. As the weather gets warmer the more apt I am to wear pastels & get my picture-taking groove on – just like our Hipster Photography Cat

I totally challenged myself on the colors for this one. I have the hardest time coloring lightly, and with more of a pastel-soft look. I’m super envious of our Anna-Sigga and her creations!

By trying to color with only light tones, in order to keep low contrast on the image, the picture came out with a sort-of vintagy feel to it. I added some vintage camera paper & then I couldn’t stop myself from adding that contrast I desperately needed with some black washi and black silky ribbon. 🙂

I used the following Copic Markers:
Cat: YR02, YR07, YR20, R81
Bow/Spats: R81, R83
Dress: B00, B02, B04, C0
Sweater: Y23, Y26, Y28
Camera: C0, C1, C3, C5

That black contrast was perfect for the sentiment as well, which is from the fabulous Photo Kaylee Clear Stamp set.

With some clever coloring techniques and a bit of self-challenge, a whole new-to-me look came through with this card. I’m super happy with, plus the Hipster Cats are seriously fun to color up!
