digi stamp: Hand Holding Kody and Mae

Hello Oddies!

Patti here kicking off my first post as a new member of the SOG team!

This week we are celebrating Valentine’s Day, as it is just around the corner! I decided it would be the perfect time to color up the sweet couple “Hand Holding Kody and Mae.” I knew I wanted to go for a more of a traditional valentine’s feel, complete with soft pinks, deep reds, and sky blue’s.

Once I had my papers picked, I knew I wanted to have the couple in one of my pretty stitched frame dies. I then added a touch of glitter to go along with our monthly theme of glitter/ sequins and love! I heat embossed the sentiment in white, and lastly added these sequin hearts to give the card a bit of shine.

Lots of Hugs!

Hi all – it’s Anna Sigga here and I am feeling rather festive!

I love making my own Christmas tags and for some reason I keep leaving these darling trees from the Build a Snowman stamp set out.

So I decided to put them to good use – give them the gold treatment and of course add a bit of sparkle.

Do you create your own tags for the Holidays? If so we would love to see your fab creations and just so we don’t miss them use #SOMEODDGIRL.

Holidays, like today’s Thanksgiving in the US, are a happy time for me. I get to see my immediate and extended family without the distractions from work or social media, and we catch up on all the latest and greatest from cousins and friends. There’s some hard work involved with cleaning and food prep, but it’s overall a loving and fun experience. I know, however, that I’m really fortunate and that the holidays can be a really rough or lonely time for many others out there. So, I decided to start celebrating my holidays by creating a simple encouragement card – a reminder to anyone out there who’s struggling today that they’re beautiful and thought of.

elle_l-hi-beautiful-ava For my card, I used the Hi Kaylee Digi. I’m so thankful that Kristy released these avatars in digi form, because I now can customize them to look like my card’s recipient or to look like me. And there’s nothing better than sending a personalized card that one could never find on a store shelf. Since Kaylee is so large and detailed, I kept the rest of my card very simple – just using a color block patterned paper, sticker sentiment and a few enamel dots.

As always, we’d love to see you in our Facebook Community. Come hang out with us and chat with some Oddie fans.
