Holidays, like today’s Thanksgiving in the US, are a happy time for me. I get to see my immediate and extended family without the distractions from work or social media, and we catch up on all the latest and greatest from cousins and friends. There’s some hard work involved with cleaning and food prep, but it’s overall a loving and fun experience. I know, however, that I’m really fortunate and that the holidays can be a really rough or lonely time for many others out there. So, I decided to start celebrating my holidays by creating a simple encouragement card – a reminder to anyone out there who’s struggling today that they’re beautiful and thought of.
For my card, I used the Hi Kaylee Digi. I’m so thankful that Kristy released these avatars in digi form, because I now can customize them to look like my card’s recipient or to look like me. And there’s nothing better than sending a personalized card that one could never find on a store shelf. Since Kaylee is so large and detailed, I kept the rest of my card very simple – just using a color block patterned paper, sticker sentiment and a few enamel dots.
As always, we’d love to see you in our Facebook Community. Come hang out with us and chat with some Oddie fans.
