Howdy everyone! Kristy here with you today for a spotlight coming at the end of quite a whirlwind month. Can you believe it’s almost the end of the year?! Crazy. That means only one more spotlight for the year; we’ll have to make it extra special!

Today I have 2 special projects that will get you in the holiday spirit if you weren’t already…

First up is a set of favors from Ana Picolo. I really love how they are all coordinated using our Beehive Mae digi stamp but each one is perfectly different. You can even personalize it to the recipient that way, nice!  Great for bridesmaid gifts, shower favors, girls’ night out treats stuffed with lip gloss or nail polish!  Use a cute holiday stamp (CLICK HERE for our holiday section and customize for the occasion!)

(aren’t they so flippin’ cute?!  The twine and charms are the perfect accents!)

Next up is a christmas card from Nichole Parker, featuring our holly jolly party girl, Christmas Tree Mae digi stamp…

(aren’t I right? I’m pretty in love with her coloring on this card too, incredibly christmassy and hey, that green stripe in Mae’s hair is enviable!)

Thanks so much Nichole and Ana! Your creations are amazing and I’m so happy you shared them with us in our Community!  Everyone’s projects are so inspiring!  Hop over and leave some love for our November Spotlights.  You may also want to drop by because, well, you just might.  That’s all I’m gonna say for now.  😉

Good morning, and HAPPY FRIDAY, Oddies!  That’s Fri-Yay, right?  🙂

Leah here, bringing you a fabulous little September spotlight to shine a little love on a couple of projects shared in our September Linky Party.  See it up there?  Right sidebar, near the top!  Link up all month and you might be featured here, too!

First up, this little beauty from Cathie B, who recently celebrated an Australian Father’s Day and showed some father-in-law love with our Piggy Back Ride digi!

I love the subtle masculine color combination she used, and the panels of yellow and blue against the pattern really create a nice platform to ground the image.  Not to mention the image was printed large for a huge presence on this card – perfect!  And Cathie, your coloring is fab!

Next, another little gem from Janine, whose work you’ve probably noticed here on plenty of occasions!  Check out this festive card featuring our Cauldron Tia digi:

With all this wonderful texture and layering going on with Janine’s card, I love that she STILL managed to make Tia pop and ensure she’s the star of the show!  So many gorgeous elements (who’d have thought a doily could work here?!), and I just want to reach out and touch my screen!

Lastly, a simple design with rich, bold colors really lets Jo‘s card POP!  Check out this pretty little number featuring our Heartsy Mae digi:

That textured background?  GORGEOUS.  The embossing creates interest on a plain background without drawing attention away from the image.  The contrasting colors in the image against those in the papers?  SO eye-catching!  And the faux stitching frames the whole front panel wonderfully, doesn’t it?  Pretty sure Jo’s sister-in-law is going to love this, right?

Ladies, thank you all for sharing your stunning projects in our Linky Party!  I, for one, feel the need to dive into my stash and get coloring!  Lots of birthdays coming up and I am not remotely ready for Halloween!  Thank you for inspiring me and for sharing the Some Odd Girl love!

Have an Odd-tastic weekend, friends!  We’ll be back Monday with some Movie Monday action!  See you then, and in the meantime….  STAY ODD!

Happy Friday Oddies! Kristy here, bringing you this month’s spotlight! I have 2 creations to share that especially caught my eye, and I know they’ll inspire you just as much…

First off I have a layered beauty. Great coloring, the different layers are popped up for an even more realistic look, and great paper choices…

Veronique Pratte

Don’t you just love this card from Veronique Pratte too? I think she’s definitely rocked both images, then together, wow! Fantastic scene!

Second is a creation entered into our Summer Challenge in our Facebook Community. There were a ton of awesome entries into that challenge but this one caught my eye…

Marika Gewalli

The glow Marika Gewalli captured on this card with her coloring is a really great addition to the image and gives it a whole other idea than just a pearl. You guys have creative ideas I never think of when I draw these image, rock on with your bad selves!

Thanks for stepping into the spotlight with your hawt guitar solos, Marika and Veronique! I might be taking the rocker analogy too far, but your creations are stand out examples of why I puffy heart all you Oddies. Your love of art and massive creativity is always amazing!

I want to invite you, if you aren’t with us already, to go on over to our Community and join in our latest challenge. Melissa has been working hard to give your mojo a kick in the pants and we’d love to see you enter. Not to mention just hang out and chat, that’s always fun and I learn a lot from all of you. See you there!
