Welcome to a new week and a new Movie Monday, Oddies!

If you’ve ever been waiting in a doctor’s office, at a kids sports game, or any other place where you wish you could get yourself ready for some crafty, coloring, fun, then I have a great little video for you.

Get ready to take your digi editing on the go!

What do you think? Editing on your phone or tablet, why didn’t you think of it before? Me too.

In this video tutorial I used the digi stamp Summery Mae & the Autodesk Sketchbook App (iOS/Android), which is pretty much my fav app for art right now. Flip, resize, layer scenes, add your own touches… its really just about everything you need wrapped up in one portable package.

Next time you’re waiting with what seems an infinite amount of boredom ahead of you, don’t be bored, get crafty!

Hi there Oddies!

Here am I, Ellen, with a little Monday movie.

As you probably already know, I like to make interactive cards. With this post I like to show you a pop up card I made with different Some Odd Girl stamps sets.

The outside is rather simple. I stamped a lot paw prints and a sentiment that triggers the recipient to open the card (stamp sets: “Cat Lady – Kaylee Clear Stamp” and “On Safari – Clear Stamp“). The inside is a pop up part made with some outside stamps and a dog that’s ready to party (stamp sets: “Build a Snowman – Clear Stamp“, “Owl-ween – Clear Stamp“, “Preppy Pups – Clear Stamp“, “Party Girl Gwen – Clear Stamp” and “Cupcake Mae-  Clear Stamp“).

If you want to see the complete process to make this card check out the video below!!!

Happy Monday!! Some Odd Girl wishes you an awesome week!

Greetings Oddies! Its the week leading up to Valentine’s Day and today is Movie Monday. If you add those two together then you get an appropriate video for the occasion, Coloring Red Hair.

At least I felt it appropriate 😉

In this video I start out with a basic red hair then give you 2 tweaks to play with…

What did you think?

I mentioned in the video that I was doing a quick coloring job so you didn’t have to spend a million years listening to me so here is the promised versions colored with love (get it?).

red So, which of the 3 is your fav?

Pin this image for some hair color reference, then go grab the free blank of this color swatch sheet for your very own and record your own color combos.

Make sure to come show us your take on these color combos in our Community this week! I’d love to see them in use on your latest creation.
