Hello oddies!!!  In Northern California we suffered from terrible wildfires in October.  During that time my family and I were evacuated, which meant all four of us, plus a dog, and two cats.  I realized when we were frantically packing the cars that I had been keeping my pets medical records in a couple envelopes in more than one location.  I decided that I would repurpose a portfolio that I had to hold all the papers in one place.  I knew right away that I wanted to use Fluffy from the Tia and Fluffy image for my cover.

The image is printed onto cardstock and colored with copics.  It is adhered to the cover front using wet glue.  Now if I need to grab our records in a hurry they are all together….although the dog would like her own image on the front…so next I’ll be coloring the Spring Pup image to balance our the cover….

Happy crafting…Lynda

Hello Oddies

Martine here with my blogpost for today……

I’ve got Nerdy Piper for you….colored her with Distress ink in just one color  , by using the color’vintage photo .

I must say…it took me some practicing…..but turned out right !

This card will be for a lady who works at a great craftstore , but…she is leaving for another job .

When i folded my card , i had this idea that i had to do something else then an normal card . So…i left the closed site under and taped both side’s and a centimeter or 3 from the folded site . Then you got a pocket !! And inside the pocket i put a label , where you can add some text .

I put some “glasses”in her glasses….lol .

I did it with Dimensional magic from Mod Podge . I also gave glitter to her collar from her sweater by using Wink of Stella .

The wooden sentiment is from a Polish craftstore , but bought it on a craftmarket .

So….this was my card for this time , i hope you all like him .

Then there is this great challenge ..the Januari challenge , make a card inspired from a picture. There are some great examples allready !

Have a great day and till the next time !

Hugs Martine xx
