Good morning friends. Today I’m sharing how I made this background featuring Cat fish digi stamp.

I got these distress oxide inks for mothers day and wanted to do something fun and quick. The whole background took about 5 minutes and it was super fun to make.

To start I cut down a piece of 110lb card-stock to 8.5 x 4.25 and scored it in half for my card base.

I started working from the outside towards the center adding a little bit of color at a time.

This is faded jeans. Then I add in broken china.

Next is spice marmalade.
I love how the colors blend together so easily. Next is fossilized amber.
I liked the look of the background, but wanted to add a touch of texture as well. I grabbed a fish scale stencil and cracked pistachio and lightly sponged the color on through the stencil.

Cute, right? Now, while I was coloring this adorable little cat fish… my coloring got away from me. I do not know WHAT on earth I was doing, but I didn’t love what I had done to this poor cutie. See.

I didn’t want to start over, so I decided to give this little guy glasses.

Ahhh, now he kinda makes sense to me, and he’s cute again. *grins*

There we have it. What backgrounds have you created that are quick and fun? Let us know!!

Hi all it’s Anna Sigga here and I am so happy to see that the sun is here – I feel ohh so cheerful and relaxed cause it’s actually sunny here in Iceland!

Nothing screams summer like yellows, oranges and sprarklyness – and of course Sunny Mae is ready for those sunny days.

Since I am using lots of shimmer and shine I just had to add a selection of  colorful flowers to the mix.  I know I can not stop when I get in the sparkly-zone!

I hope I managed to inspire you in a sunny way and don’t forget to share your sunny-creations with us on social media using  #SOMEODDGIRL.

Good morning, Oddies! Alexis here with today’s Inspiration. I was feeling super sassy when I colored this image and I thought a sassy card was in order! I used the Catfish Nom digi from last month’s release and I just adored this image! There is something about it that makes me giggle every time I see it, so I wanted a card that the person receiving would feel the same way about.

I decided on a bit of a pirate theme, because why not? I love this sweet angry kitty!

Do you have a favorite image from last month’s release?
