I’m so happy Kristy has been turning the Clear Stamps into digital stamps for us!

When I saw Sunny Mae I new I needed her in my stamp collection.

I decided I just wanted her face as the focal point, so I edited her in photoshop then printed out only her face.

I colored her with Prismacolor Pencils. Once done I decided to give my water colors a run at the background. I imagined she was hot on a beach somewhere, which is where the orange red and yellow came in.

I didn’t love how bright it was at first, but it definitely grew on me. I toned the background down a bit bay adding some distress oxide inks and started blending in towards the watercolors. Add in some embellishments, and voila.

A fun card to brighten up someones day.

Good morning, Oddies! Alexis here with today’s inspiration, and my inspiration for you is inspired by someone else! Do you ever sit in your crafty space and just stare at an image, or a piece of paper and draw a total blank? When that happens to me I start trolling Pinterest! One of my favorite designers is Yana Smakula and her work just blows me away. Way back around Easter I fell in love with this super cute CAS card she made and I wanted to try it with my own favorite stamps.

I switched up the layers and the size of the laers a little, because I was in love with this pattern, but I really enjoyed the simplicity of it and how it draws the most attention to the cute Catfish Digi

So, who is your crafty crush?
