Hello ODD fans!  Melissa here today to show you how to take some of your older digi stamps and freshen them up.  Just in case you aren’t familiar with the accessory digi stamp set Hats and Gloves I’m going to introduce you to it.

I stuck to the theme of cold weather but you can see that their are a variety of hat styles.  Using my Silhouette software I was able to merge hats and gloves on to my bird friends below.  You don’t have to use that particular software to merge stamps, so don’t let that stop you from trying it.

For this card I used Momma & Baby Penguin digi and the sentiment is from clear stamp set Sweater Kaylee.

With this card I used digi stamp set Feathered Friends.  This is not your usual type of  Holiday image but with the addition of the winter accessories it worked just fine.

You can see how easily these accessories worked on these critters.  You’ll discover just how many digi stamps, critters & peoples, you can add these accessories too, there are unlimited possibilities!

We are well into November but its now time to look back and announce our winners from the challenges and hop that finished up on Monday.

Cuppa Mae Card

Hey Oddies! It is Tabbatha here! Today I have a bit of fall inspiration for you now that we are in November. EEK!

I used the now retired digital stamp Cuppa Mae, but the feeling of being cozy can easily be created with other stamps as well. 🙂

Cuppa Mae Card

To recreate this coziness with other stamps, it is all about the coloring choices! From the rich browns in Mae’s hair and skin down to the coffee cup, this is continued with the striped brown and tan background and of course the coffee stains. While blues are in the cold realm, purples have some red, which puts them quite nicely on the cusp between warm and cold tones. By keeping the purple at a minimum the overall feeling of warm coziness still works.

Cuppa Me Up Close

Copic Choices:
Skin: E21, E13, E35, R22
Hair: E31, E33, E35, E37
Sweater: V12, BV20, BV23, BV25
Pants: N3, N6, N8
Coffee: E53, E55, E59

I kept Mae’s skin to a warm, light brown with similar colors for her hair and then into the coffee. 🙂 To continue with that warm feeling, her sweater is Blue-Violet. The greys in the sweater actually add a warm undertone to the sweater. I chose the BV’s because it reminded me of velour – and we all know how warm velour can be! I used my neutral greys for the pants as well.

All of this adds up to a warm and cozy card to give to a friend. 🙂 I promise though that this works with other images, so why don’t you try it out on Coffee Piper or Autumn Mae or even Woodsy Mae
