There’s something special with galaxy painting. So variety of colors, darkness, light, sparkle and shine. I’ve done a lot of galaxy colorings using my copics, but now I love to make galaxy using my new addiction watercolors. Especially this set from Prima called Tropical.
The idea for this bookmark did I get when I finished watching the Harry Potter movies (for the one billion time ;P).
The lead word for the last movie is ‘Always’ and not to say too much (for you not seeing the movie) one Patronus (a spell) takes the form of a doe. And the color of a patronus is light blue and the triangle shape is the ‘Deathly Hallows’ which is what the last Harry Potter book and movie is called.
I printed it out very light on Ranger watercolor paper. And painted over the horns.
I started to color the background galaxy like and then the deer in a light blue.
I added some white gesso, gelpen and some silver stickles.

We all have a little kid in us somewhere, right? 😀 Well, my little kid couldn’t pass up a big grey, stuffed hippopatumus named Chuck. Ok, maybe yours isn’t named Chuck, but mine is! He slept with me for quite awhile until the hubby got tired of Chuck trying to eat his head (true story!). Little E will now inherit Chuck when she is at least bigger than he is. 😀
So using Chuck as my muse, here is a little card using Hippo Digital Stamp.
Inspiration can be found in the ODD-est of places. 😀 So next time you are in need of a little muse, take a look at your surroundings and maybe you’ll find a Chuck of your own.
