Hello Odd friends, it’s Judy here with you today and I’ve got a little summer inspiration for you. I love to save special mementos from my travels and vacations, so I’m going to show you a way to hang onto the beach long after the vacation is over.
The next time you are soaking up some rays near the ocean water, collect a little sand and put it in a cute bottle. Mix up the size and shapes for a fun collection. Then make a tag or label to show where and when you collected the sand. For this project I used the anchor from the Mr. Octopus clear stamp set on each tag. Anchors are so popular right now, I see them on clothes, jewelry, pattern papers, home décor….everything! Nautical is in and perfect for beach memories. Take a look…
I like a clean and simple look for this project, so just stamping the anchor in black worked well. If you want to make them a little more fancy, try heat embossing your anchor with gold embossing powder.
You can print your beach location and date with a fun font on the computer, write it with your own handwriting…or both! Now you have a little piece of your favorite beach with you everyday.
I hope you found some summer inspiration with my project today. I also hope this shows you how the little accessory stamps in your Some Odd Girl sets can be the star of the show too. If you use your Some Odd Girl stamps to preserve your vacation memories, be sure to link it up for this month’s Linky Party or share it in our Facebook group. We want to be inspired by you too!
