CHA 2015 setup as told by The Odd Girl!

Hi Oddies!  Have you been following our Instagram and Facebook feeds to see the shenanigans at CHA?  Well we want to show you how it all started this year…

Setup is a big part of the bonding process for our team – we delegate tasks, we bust out all the hardware and fixtures, and we GET TO WORK.  It’s gruelling and fabulous, and this is often the time when some of the silliest and most memorable things are said.  Things that get repeated for days, months, even YEARS after the event.

Since some of the goods hadn’t shipped early enough to be tested out at home to ensure everything goes together properly and no pieces are missing, we were QUITE pleased to find that things were FITTING!  Here’s what the booth looked like at the end of day 1 of setup:

Business cards for the show were one of those things I wasn’t sure about if they would work out. Rather than double shipping a friend of mine who lives in LA so wonderfully let us ship things to her to bring to the show. I ordered them in early December but just got to see them Wednesday. They turned out so cool though!  Loving the ROUND shape and that Kaylee’s head extends beyond the contours of the actual cards.  Totally ODD and perfect for our brand!

One of the most awesome parts of setup is opening the boxes from our talented Odd Girls to see what projects will be displayed to best showcase our stamps.  EVERYONE gets involved in this one, and sometimes it’s down to tie-breaking votes, but we love it when the displays start coming together, and it’s ALWAYS wonderful to see the talent just pouring forth from those boxes!  LOOK!

Here’s The Odd Girl herself and giant Kaylee at the end of the day…  Aside from the color, isn’t their matching hair adorable?  🙂

There’s been a TON of great feedback and many pictures shared around the web, so be sure to check for #someoddgirl and see what our CHA reps and our make-and-takers have been up to!  You know 2015’s going to be AWESOMELY ODD, right?

Good morning, Oddies, and HAPPY FRIDAY!  Leah the Orange here, and I have a super special spotlight for you all today!  I am VERY excited to bring you a VIDEO make-and-take from a young lady who spent some time getting to know us at CHA, and learning all about our silly ways.

Meet Beth Mosch!

beth 2 CHA

Beth is a crafty young lady who does her own blog thing at The Creative Ninjas, where she has been sharing lots of CHA love!  We loved her very intent and concentrated spark when she visited our booth and saw our logo…   Some Odd Girl happened to make the cut at The Creative Ninjas, so I’m pleased to present Beth Mosch and her awesome make-and-take!  (And you get to enjoy the sneak of next month’s clear stamp release…)

You also got to hear lots of Odd Girl voices while Beth merrily colored away…  Sorry about that song that’s stuck in your head now.  😉  Thanks so much for hanging out with us, and happy crafting, Beth!  We’ll be watching your blog and we look forward to seeing you next year!

Folks, please pop over and say hello to Beth at The Creative Ninjas and show her the SOGgy love!  She’s got a lot of COOL things to share, including some fun DIY projects.  Here’s our girl (can I call you that?) with her completed tag featuring Hipster Pets (coming soon!):

Love it!  Love your spirit, and love your thinkin’, and we loved meeting you!  🙂

Thank you so, so much for visiting and thanks to Beth’s mom for sharing the video on our Facebook page!  Enjoy the weekend, folks, and we’ll be back Monday with a new Featured Digi…  You can grab Spectacular Soiree now, before the sale ends on Sunday!
