Welcome back friends! DT Melanie here today to share a fun little project with all of you. I am using “Kiss a Prince Tia” from the SOG online store. She was so adorable and as soon as I saw her I knew I wanted to create a scene card. I did not realize at the time that Some Odd Girl has the PERFECT CUT File which can be downloaded. CLICK HERE! to check out the file.

As you can see I created a scene using some stash dies that I have. I colored this adorable stamp using Copic alcohol markers. I then added some glitter pen to her crown as well as some colored pearls just to add a touch of royalty! Here is a close up photo…

Here is one last look to my project this week. I hope it inspires you to grab “Kiss a Prince Tia” from the online store and have a fun time coloring her with your favorite medium.

Butterfly Friend Fairy

Hello Oddies,

Melanie back with you today to share a super fun card. I am using the Butterfly Friend Fairy stamp. She was such fun to color!

For the background I used fun stencils and stamps to create this fairy scene. I love how the branch part of the stencil turned out. I inked it completely with light brown ink to begin then I gently touched a darker brown ink in various areas of the stamp to make it look more realistic. It was quite fun!

Here is a close up showing my coloring. I colored her with Copic markers.

One last look…. Do you belong to our Some Odd Girl Community over on Facebook? If not, join us for daily inspiration.

Until next time my friends… Hugs, Melanie

Newly Released ~ Scientist Tia

Hello Friends,

DT Melanie here with you today to share a spunky little gal named “Scientist Tia” She has been playing in the laboratory and is learning lots of new and exciting things. Lets take a look…

I think Tia is ready to head back to school, don’t you? This fun card design was created focusing on the piece of patterned paper I found in my stash. It was the only piece that I could find to fit into my “back to school” vision. So here we are, and Tia is having a blast.

I have colored Scientist Tia using Copic markers and have fussy cut her out. Then I popped her up using foam squares. Here is a closer look at the entire image itself….

She has been colored to coordinate with the “scientific” paper…hahaha. I did say I like challenges right? But it wasn’t until I added glossy accents to her glasses did I finally feel like she was finished. Check it out…

Tia is a keeper that is for sure! She will be perfect to grab and color for that favorite teacher or she could even be made into a mad scientist with the right colors. I focused on back to school though since Halloween is still a bit away. Make sure to check out all of the awesome new stamps over at the Some Odd Girl Online Store.

Thank you for stopping by the SOG blog today and for following all of the design team’s pages. Make sure you’re also a part of the SOG Facebook Community to see lots more inspiration. until next time Oddies…

Hugs! Melanie
