Aloha, Odd friends!  WELCOME BACK!  It’s Day Two of our WOODERFUL event with ARC Crafts and Some Odd Girl!

ARC-Week-badge

Today, we have a digi release that’s gonna send your thoughts swimming!  🙂

Did you catch yesterday’s posts on the ARC Crafts blog and here, on the Some Odd Girl blog?  There is inspiration at every turn, and our designers are having SO much fun combining Some Odd Girl stamps with ARC Crafts wood adhesive papers and tapes!

We will have 3 lucky winners this week amongst the commenters on both blogs, so leave some love and you could win $$$ to spend at the Some Odd Girl shop or one of two prize packs from ARC Crafts!

So.  Are you ready to see the new digis in conjunction with these fun wood products from ARC Crafts?  Let’s do it!

Please welcome to the Some Odd Girl digi family….

Hula Girl Mae and Jellyfish!

JoAnn made the following tag and card and put the wood paper through her die-cutting machine…  Here’s what she had to say about it, and her first project featuring JELLYFISH!

Can I just say that this ARC wood paper is pretty awesome?! It cuts so well with the Cameo – it was definitely a ton of fun to play with; like creating my own wood veneers without the bulk. 🙂

Um, and raise your hand if you hoard wood veneers???  *raises hand*
ARC Crafts Wood paper is perfect for all of your veneer hoarding needs!

And JoAnn‘s Hula Mae creation!

Next, Marilyn created this one, combining both digis and making her own die-cuts!

Melissa made a different kind of scene (AAAGGGHHH, the tiki torches!),
and said the wood paper was SUPER easy to work with!

And The Odd Girl herself, Kristy, did this tropical tag, added a sentiment from the Flirty Mae clear stamp set (trimming the speech bubble down), and oh my goodness, made a HUT from the wood veneer sheets!

Hey there, Oddies!

Leah here, happy to bring you a couple of little reminders, and a little inspiration!

First of all, there’s a Pinterest contest going on, and it ends TOMORROW!  If you haven’t already checked it out and pinned to your heart’s content, CLICK HERE to see what it’s all about.  We are giving away $20 to spend on ANYTHING you like at the Some Odd Girl store (and I happen to know of some AWESOME new clear and digi stamps that might make your wish list!) – play along and start pinning!

Next, we have the brand new clear stamp sets that were released on Monday, and they’re up for grabs, too!  Click HERE and HERE and leave your comments on each post (be sure to answer the question to be eligible!), and I’ll be announcing our winners on Friday.

In addition to the super cute new clear stamps, we have some
divine digi love this week, starring THIS GIRL, I Heart U Gwen!

We. LOVE. Her!  And our Odd Girl Brianna combined the I Heart U Gwen digi stamp with the Hearts and Love cut file, plus a sentiment from the Flirty Mae clear stamp set for this gorgeous project.  Don’t you love the FRECKLES?!  (I’m a big fan)

And I have a little something special to share, for a friend who just rang the bell for her last treatment!  Congrats, sweet friend!  Here’s a card featuring our Pink Ribbon Mae digi stamp, in celebration of LIFE!

So there you go, friends!  Happy hump day to you, and may the ODD always live within you!

PSSST! Don’t forget tonight, at 8pm EDT, you can color LIVE on Ustream with Kristy! She will be coloring the digi stamp Beachy Mae tonight. Come chat and have some colorful fun.

Pinterest Contest from Some Odd Girl

Woohoo! Its Contest time, specifically a Pinterest Contest!

Good morning, and HAPPY MONDAY, Odd friend!  There’s something new and special going on, and we’re inviting you to join us!

We have a brand new Pinterest Board for all you Oddies to pin your Odd Projects!  From those Pins, there will be one chosen every week – there will be a badge for you to proudly wear (display), and this “Pin of the Week” will be added to a special board for everyone to see the best of the best!  BUT WAIT!

To kick it off we have a contest! From pins added to the board now thru July 17 we’ll choose our very first Pin of the Week.  That snazzy crafter will also win a $20 Gift Certificate to our shop!  Sound like a good way to get this party started?  Yeah, we thought so!  And since everyone loves Pinterest already, here’s just one more little place to load and store some eye candy and inspiration…

How do you get added to the board? Its easy! To be added, first you need to follow us on Pinterest, then, we want to know where you pin your Some Odd Girl creations!  Next, leave a link to the board where you pin your Some Odd Girl projects on this post in our Community. We will follow your board and that will allow us to be able to invite you to our group board.

Got it?  The breakdown….

1. Follow us on Pinterest.

2. Have a board of your own where you pin your Some Odd Girl creations.

3. Link that board in a comment HERE!

4. We will follow your board and you’ll be invited to contribute to our board!

5. When you pin your stuff, you could be a winner!  (Please do not pin others’ work)

Pin as often as you like! We want to see what you got!  The contest starts…  NOW!  You can pin through the 17th at midnight EDT and we’ll have our announcement on Friday, July 19th.  Happy Pinning, and STAY ODD!  🙂
